Driver killed after being ejected from car in Garfield County

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. A 57-year-old male from Empire died at the scene of an accident after rolling his car and being ejected from the vehicle.

Tuesday morning at approximately 12:55 a.m. the Colorado State Patrol responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on eastbound I-70 in Garfield County.

According to CSP, the vehicle lost control and traveled off the right side of the rode, where it rolled and became engulfed in flames.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was ejected during the roll sequence and died on scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
