GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. As Colorado considers a ban on the use of drones to help hunters spot game, the real estate industry is taking advantage of the new technology.

Synergy Marketing Consultants created an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle to fly around and inside homes so potential buyers can get a 3-D tour.

Davienne Jacobson, with Bray Real Estate, said she started using the technology for one of her listings because getting the attention of the buyer is the most challenging part of the job, but the videos that come from the drones are helping create a buzz.

Jeff Hanson is another Broker who used the drone for one of his high end properties to show the surrounding views of the area, which he said is a major selling point to buyers.

The technology was used only for larger homes in the past, but housing experts said it is becoming the norm in the industry.
