GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- A new ban on throwing away electronics goes into effect July 1st.
Colorado consumers will no longer be able to throw e-waste in the trash, meaning TV's, laptops, tablets, DVD players and video game consoles cannot go in the garbage.
Instead, you must arrange to have those items recycled.
The Denver Post reports those who put electronics out to the trash can face fines, variable by county.
