GLADE PARK, Colo. (KKCO) – The Glade Park woman who went missing on Thanksgiving morning has been found alive.

Patricia Osberg, 78, was found almost exactly 24 hours after she wandered away from her home yesterday, according to her daughter.

Members of the search and rescue ATV team discovered her laying on the ground between two trees about two miles north of her home.

Osberg had hypothermia and some minor injuries, but Mesa County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Ben Carnes says she was alert and talkative. She was flown to the hospital by the Care Flight helicopter.

More than 50 volunteers aided in her search, spending Thanksgiving day and night looking in the remote, rough and cold terrain of Glade Park.

Patricia Osberg, 78, was reported missing by her husband around 10:10 a.m. Thursday, according to Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Ben Carnes. Osberg is an Alzheimer's patient.

Her husband told deputies that she wandered away from her home in the 4800 block of Red Bluff Road in Glade Park.

Carnes said she may have wanted a ride into town, but deputies have no reason to believe she was kidnapped. They are trying to determine if she was given a ride into town.

Search and rescue is checking the Glade Park area to make sure she didn’t get lost in the woods. They say they don't need any help searching and are asking people to stay away from the area. They are searching with dogs, ATVs and a helicopter.

Osberg is about 5-feet 6-inches and 165 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a sky blue jacket with striped sleeves and blue slacks.

If you have any information about Osberg’s whereabouts, call dispatch at 970-242-6707.
