Election day is this Tuesday

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - Grand Junction voters aren't waiting until Tuesday to make their voices heard. The election office has received back 30 percent of the ballots that were sent out. If you are still thinking about mailing in your ballot you are running out of time.

"We need to have mail-in ballots back to us by 7pm Tuesday night which is April 2nd. It’s a better idea to go ahead and put them in a drop box than to mail it in at this point," Catherine Lenhart, the director for elections in Mesa County.

You can find drop box locations at the Grand Junction City Hall and at the Mesa County Central Services building. On Tuesday you can drop off your ballot between 7am and 7 pm.
