Emergency plane landing at Montrose Regional Airport

MONTROSE, Colo. Navy reserve pilots of a C130 aircraft made a safe emergency landing at Montrose Regional Airport at approximately 7:20 p.m. Thursday evening.

Emergency crews were on hand and prepared to assist as necessary.

The plane was en route to California from New Jersey when engine fire indication lights led the pilots to shutdown an engine and land at the closest suitable airfield.

The plane landed safely and all occupants were uninjured including three pilots and three miltary personnel.
