Emergency public fish salvage in Montrose

MONTROSE, Colo. (KKCO) Colorado Parks and Wildlife has announced implementation of an emergency public fish salvage for the South Canal which is located east of Montrose.

Bag and possession limits will be lifted for the area from the West Portal of the Gunnison Tunnel to the canal's confluence with the Uncompahgre river.

Fish can be taken only by hook and line or by snagging, and anglers must have a Colorado fishing license.

The salvage order is in effect from November 7th through December 31st.
