FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) Anytime you bring extra visitors into a community you're going to see an impact economically, and for the Fruita fall festival, it's a big one.

"We have a big increase," says Suds Brothers Brewery GM, Travis Martinez. "Probably 300%. We love people to come to Fruita to come see this awesome community, awesome people and awesome world that they don't really see."

The Brewery is just one example of the many businesses and whose profits spike during the annual event.

"It's tax dollars... it's our biggest fundraiser for the chamber of commerce," says Chamber of Commerce Director, Shauna Davies. "I think that for a lot of people, although we close down the main street, they get a lot of people in their doors."

But Martinez says it's not just about the money. For Suds Brothers and many other Fruita locals, the event is a time to show off the town at it's best.

"Get down here and check it out," says Martinez. "There's so many wonderful people and wonderful businesses and something to really grow on... I really love it."
