GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Western Slope can fall in the shadow of bigger cities, but the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is trying to get voices in the area heard.
A member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce met with the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce to discuss energy issues on the Western Slope.
This is an energy rich area and the U.S. Chamber said involving the broader business community in the federal and political discussions of energy will benefit our area.
The Western Slope has a history of exploration and production of oil and gas.
Including businesses other than energy companies will help more western slope residents understand the future of energy in this area..
Christopher Guith with the U.S. Chamber said he will take all comments and concerns back to Washington D.C.
