PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO) - Charter Communications customers in Palisade experienced a service outage this afternoon.
At 9:09 a.m. an oversized truck snagged a fiber line at G 4/10 Road and Garfield Drive, cutting it in two places. The truck did not stop, nor did it notify Charter about the incident.
Brian Anderson, regional director of communications for Charter, says that repair crews were sent to Palisade after identifying the problem around 9:17 a.m. to work on repairing the fiber line.
Anderson says that fewer than 600 customers in total were effected, including the Wine Country Inn, Palisade High School, and Taylor Elementary; however, crews have already restored service to PHS and Taylor Elementary.
As of 3:10 p.m. all service was restored to the Palisade area.
