FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) -- Five people escape a house fire just after 2 a.m. Friday.
Lower Valley Fire crews responded to the burning home on 20 Road near Fruita. When they arrived, they saw five people -- believed to be residents of the home -- outside.
Smoke and flames were visible in one of the front rooms. Several ambulances were called out to the scene.
Three of the residents were treated for smoke inhalation, but their condition should be non-life threatening.
