FRUITA, Colo (KKCO)-- Police got a call from a woman who claimed Eric Janusz was engaging in conduct that threatened her safety.

Janusz was arrested and booked for domestic violence disturbance, a misdemeanor charge. He's since been released.

Police say the female victim was not injured and wouldn't disclose her relationship to Janusz. We're told Janusz will make a court appearance soon.

Janusz worked as a Grand Junction police officer and firefighter for nearly 20 years. He's currently awaiting trial in March of next year for sex assault on a child.

So how long did this go on when he was a police office because of the self-protection the cops do, even when they hear the complaints and ignore those complaints. The good officers should stand up to all corruption no matter how small. Their integrity is at stake.
