GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- A jury trial is underway in the sexual assault case against a former Grand Junction firefighter and police officer.
Eric Janusz' trial is set to run from now until March 22. He's charged with four counts of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and one count of sex assault as a pattern of abuse.
Janusz worked as a Grand Junction police officer for 10 years and was part of the Grand Junction Fire Department for six years up until Feb. 2012.
The victim has previously testified she met Janusz in July of 2000, when she was 16, and she said the two had an on-and-off sexual relationship.
