GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Tomorrow marks one of the most delicious days of the year: free pancake day.

Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., customers get a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes at IHOP, located at 2420 Highway 6 & 50 in Grand Junction. In return, the restaurant asks that you make a donation to support a children's organization.

This year, the money will go to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and El Jebel Shriners, who help get treatment for children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lips and palates. The Shriners pay for the medical care if the family cannot afford to do so.

More than 200 children in western Colorado are receiving help from the organization.

IHOP served more than four million pancakes in 2012 and raised more than $3 million. The goal this year is to match that total.
