FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) The 99th Fruita Fall Fest is in full swing for the weekend with rides, music, food and more.
160 vendors and hundreds festival-goers filled the streets of the town Saturday celebrating the start of the autumn season and also local tradition.
"Fruita, the town, is still a smaller town here on the Western Slope and they get out and they see each other," said Shauna Davies, of the Fruita Chamber of Commerce. "They've been doing this for a long time. They love to come out for the parade which is still a small town event."
70 groups carried on the parade tradition at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The festival benefits the Fruita Chamber of Commerce.
It continues on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
