GJ Lions Club hosts parade and carnival

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Get ready for the Grand Junction Lions Club 84th Annual Carnival and Parade today, Feb. 16. The theme of this year’s event is “Under the Big Top”.

The parade will begin at 1 p.m. and will run from 2nd to 7th of Main Street. Carnival doors will open at 5 p.m. at the Two Rivers Convention Center and admission is free. The carnival will run until all prizes are given out. There will also be the chance to buy a raffle ticket. The Grand Junction Lions Club counted over 300 prizes that are valued over $33,000 for the raffle.

Proceeds from the carnival and raffle will benefit nonprofit projects and organizations in Mesa County.
