Grand Junction, Colo. – The City of Grand Junction Parks and Recreation just had their annual Jingle Bell Run 5K and Kid’s 1K. This year’s race took place at Canyon View Park at 9 a.m.
Before the Kid’s 1K, children got to make holiday crafts while they waited for their run to start. The cost was $24 for the 5K and $19 for the 1K.
Eighty runners participated in the race.
Like last year, Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department partnered with Roice-Hurst Humane Society for a pet food and donation drive. For every $10 or 10 lbs. of pet food donated, runners received an additional raffle ticket.
