DENVER (AP) -- A man questioned in the killing of the head of Colorado's prison system says he doesn't know the only person identified as a suspect in the slaying.

Thomas Guolee told The Denver Post (http://tinyurl.com/d3ygpps) he never met Evan Ebel, the white supremacist gang member who died in a shootout last month and has been named as a suspect in the death of prison chief Tom Clements. Authorities arrested Guolee on parole violations two weeks ago.

Police said Guolee and another gang member had contact with Ebel before Clements' killing. Guolee denied that to the Post. He said he only knew Ebel from passing a note to him while they both served time in prison years ago.
