GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Santa Claus is coming to town, but it is you that can make the difference in needy children's lives this Christmas.

The Salvation Army's giving tree is now up at the Mesa Mall.

Tags are hanging on the tree with Christmas wishes from underprivileged kids who will have little if nothing at all under the tree this year. Anyone can pick a tag and buy a gift to help spread the holiday cheer.

The salvation army has been putting up the tree in the mall for decades and officials say each year they help thousands of kids in Mesa County.

To apply for your kids to have their Christmas wishes granted, low income residents can go to the salvation army to fill out an application.
