GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) A proposed South Bridge connection in Glenwood Springs is on hold for now after not being included among nearly $350 million in Colorado public partnership projects selected for funding by state transportation officials.
According to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, some residents wanted a new Grand Avenue Bridge, while other residents argued for a Highway 82 bypass.
A new road and bridge would provide another route to Colorado Highway 82 and points east toward Carbondale and Aspen from the south Glenwood and Four Mile Road areas.
