GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Ladies in the Grand Valley are getting together for golf and a good time, all for a good cause. Today kicked off the Western Slope Triple Play Women's three day golf tournament at Bookcliff Country Club.

After nearly a decade, the event has been revived and dozens of women teed off to benefit Hilltop's Latimer House.

"We all being women, we thought, anybody that's had a family member or knows anybody with domestic violence, it's a tough situation and Latimer House does such a beautiful job, so we're excited to raise money for them," Vicki Riley of The Western Slope Triple Play.

This weekend, The Peach Valley Bar-Brew Still Rods and Wheels Poker Run and Funfest is another event benefiting the Latimer House.

There will be a car show, live music at Livery Brewery and Distillery, a dunk tank with local celebrities, a jump house for kids and face painting.
