By  |

WASHINGTON (NBC News) The House and Senate passed a bipartisan plan last night and the President signed it into law.

Here are the details of the plan:

-To fund the government until January 15th.

-Raise the debt limit until February 7th.

-Set up budget negotiations between the House and Senate in the hope of reaching a long-term deal.

-And provide back pay for furloughed federal workers.

Now, the focus shifts to a larger budget deal.

The U.S Capitol is expected to re-open for tours this morning and federal workers should be returning to work. All federal offices and national parks will begin to
re-open as well.
