GJ Regional Airport experiences drop in passengers

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) -- The Grand Junction Regional airport experienced a four percent decline in passengers in the first quarter of 2013 compared to the first quarter of 2012.

The airport lost 300 travelers a week due to Allegiant Air’s delay in services to Los Angeles. Services to LA began on April 18, 2013, four months after services began in 2012.

Officials say they expect their numbers to increase in the next quarter.
