Grand Junction city council spends money on roads, snow removal

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) The city awarded a contract for their pavement management data collection to a firm from Tempe, Arizona.

For $70,000 Infrastructure Management Service will analyze data from 365 center-line miles of city streets to determine future infrastructure work.

The data collected will also determine which streets should have highest priority.

The city also approved the purchase of a single axle five yard dump truck with snow removal equipment at a cost of $132,000.

The vehicle will have interchangeable parts for maximum utilization.
