Grand Junction High School grads march on

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Stocker Stadium saw its first backflip of graduation season on Tuesday.

An athletic Tiger flipped of the stage after relieving his diploma, adding a rather emphatic exclamation point to an exciting ceremony.

The ceremony included a student's rendition of the popular fun. song "We are Young" and a speech about dreams from class president Dylin Cruz.

"I've really taken away the sense of community, and it's taught me to be a better person," says Cruz, "We've had such a unique class this year that we were able to become whoever we wanted to be. We had very supportive teachers."

The GJHS class of 2013 recorded more than 38,000 volunteer hours, and six students are already planning to serve in our nation's military.
