Grand Junction house destroyed in fire

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Grand Junction Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a Grand Junction home Saturday night.

Fire crews responded to reports of a fire in the house and on the fence at 634 Shadowood Court around 9 p.m. Saturday.

Fire fighters contained the fire to an attic space, the roof of the garage and the exterior of the house, but the damage is initially estimated at $75,000.

One person had possible smoke inhalation and was transported to a hospital.
