GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)- The Grand Junction City Council has taken a stand on a proposed bus transfer station out by Mesa Mall on 24 ½ and f ¼ roads. The Councils decision may put the brakes on the proposed station.

For the last three weeks City Council has received numerous letters, e-mails, and signatures on a petition on the proposed site.

On Wednesday February 2nd the Council held a work shop to discus the proposed station, which would house both Grand Valley Transit and Greyhound.

Local business and residents of the area have been against Greyhound moving to the location.
At Wednesdays workshop the City Council, also came the conclusion that they to are against Greyhound moving to the location that is currently being proposed.

The Council drafted a letter that was sent to GVT on Thursday, stating the councils view.
Council women Lora Luke tells KKCO 11 news, that she is encouraged by the resolution that has been suggested.
Which includes, GVT being the only entity to use that location, or finding another location if the GVT/ Greyhound partnership must stay.
