GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - District Attorney Pete Hautzinger has told KKCO 11 News the mother of two boys who died inside their mother's car seven weeks ago has been arrested in Florida for the deaths.
Heather Jensen was arrested without incident after leaving a family member's home in North Fort Myers, Florida on a Mesa County warrant.
Jensen has been arrested on two counts of child abuse resulting in death (class 3 felony), two counts of criminally negligent homicide (class 5 felony) and one count of false reporting to authorities (class 3 misdemeanor).
Her bond has been set at $150,000. If Jensen cannot make bond, she may waive extradition or it could be a long process before she returns to Mesa County.
