WHITEWATER, Colo. (KKCO) -- A fast-moving fire lights up two horse trailers and burns down a camper shell in Whitewater.
Around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, the Grand Junction Fire Department, Central Orchard Mesa and Land's End Fire Protection District were called out to 3500 Purdy Mesa Rd.
There, flames engulfed two trailers and a camper shell. The camper burned completely to the ground, but the trailers were not totally destroyed.
The fire also did some damage to the outside of a storage shed, which held recreational equipment.
Firefighters contained the fire to a 25-yard area and prevented it from traveling to a wooded area.
There's no word on what caused it. The house on the property was not threatened. No one was injured, and the residents weren't home at the time.
