GRAND MESA, Colo. (KKCO) - If you're looking to escape the summer heat, heading for the slopes at Powderhorn might be your answer.

The resort is hosting multiple events this summer, hoping to help you beat the heat and enjoy the summer in the high country. Officials are offering everything from a moto race series and summer celebration activities to hiking and more. "Our disc golf course, that we launched last summer, is a great feature. It's open everyday and it's free to the public and a great way to get out of the heat," says General Manager Daren Cole.
