GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) – Police noticed a vehicle was weaving through traffic and was adjusting speeds erratically. Around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, the police initiated a traffic stop and the car stopped on Interstate 70.
Since the driver was unable to provide proof of insurance, the officers decided to impound the vehicle. As Deputies were taking inventory of the automobile, they discovered approximately 2,185 grams of suspected Methamphetamine. The total amount of drugs seized was estimated to be around $218,500.
Driver Pablo Rene Avalos and passengers Ruben Dario Gonzalez and Alexis Abigail were arrested and transported to the Garfield County Jail.
