GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Mesa County Coroner has released the identity of the man who died after his family found him trapped under a car on New Year's Day.
The coroner says 50-year-old Stephan Barley of Meeker was trapped under a friend's car he was working on after it rolled on top of him.
Barley suffered no injuries from the car, but the position of the car impaired his ability to breathe normally, the coroner says. The cause of his death was positional asphyxia, and his death has been ruled an accident.
