Know more about income taxes at educational session

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Tax season can be a stressful and confusing time for many, but the AARP Tax-Aide group is here to help.

On Wednesday, Feb. 27, they'll hold a free educational session about income taxes, the changes in the tax laws and what affects they'll have this tax season.

This is the second year for the event, and the district coordinator says many have benefited from the program in the past.

"I just opened it up for question and answer," said Marie Walz. "We had scheduled an hour, and we ended up with two because one would lead to another, and it was pretty enlightening for all of us."

The Tax-Aide will also help file taxes for anyone 16 and up for free.

The educational income tax session will be from 10-11:30 a.m. at the RSVP office located at 422 White Avenue in the lower level of U.S. Bank. To reserve a spot call 243-9839.
