Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) --- The JUCO World Series kicked off and brought dedicated fans from all over the country.
Some teenagers said they have been attending the baseball tournament since they were in elementary school, but others have been coming for decades.
Laurette Macomber has been sitting through every JUCO game for the last 56 years. She says she began going with her family and after her husband passed she decided to keep the tradition going.
Community support is what allows JUCO to be as popular as it is and Bruce Hill, Vice President of the JUCO Committee, said this years day one turn out has far surpassed prior years.
