Jump Start Job Fair

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKC0) - After today, the unemployment number could hopefully drop a little in the near future.

The Mesa County Workforce Center held their annual Jump Start Job Fair at the Double Tree hotel.

The event was held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and had over 40 different employers present.

Many residents came with their resumes ready to hand out and meet their potential employers.

"Right at the start, within the first three minutes, 120 people ran through the door. We're seeing a very large turn out of people and I think employers are seeing some real quality applicants," said Suzie Miller, with the Mesa County Workforce Center.

If you missed the job fair today and are currently looking for work, you can still head over to the Mesa County Workforce Center; they can give you a list of employers from the job fair that you can contact.

They also have over 200 job orders that are ready to hire.
