MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - Jury selection for a decades old murder case is expected to start Tuesday morning.
Jerry Nemnich is accused of murdering a Grand Junction woman and her daughter in 1975.
Authorities say they linked the 65-year-old to the deaths of 24–year–old Linda Benson and her 5-year-old daughter Kelly through DNA.
A CBI investigator has said in the past that's there's only a one in one quintillion chance that a DNA sample taken from the scene does not belong to Nemnich.
The victims were found stabbed to death in the Chateau Apartments off North 21st St.
