DENVER (AP) Former Boulder City Councilwoman KC Becker is the newest member of the Colorado House.
Becker took the oath of office Monday. She is replacing Democratic Boulder Rep. Claire Levy, who resigned her seat to become executive director of the Colorado Center on Law and Policy. Levy was term-limited and next year would've been her final session.
Becker, a Democrat, says she had intended to run for Levy's seat before she resigned. A vacancy committee appointed Becker last month.
Becker's husband and two sons, ages 5 and 2, joined her at the swearing-in ceremony.
