Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - The first Monday of every month, Kannah Creek brews up a special beer to be hand-tapped just for the day, with 100 percent of the sales going to a local charity.

This month, the brewery has teamed up with Roice Hurst Humane Society and sold Lupie Leprechaun beer. The beer is put in a firkin keg for the one-day event.

Each pint is $4 dollars, and cash donations are also accepted.

"We were so excited when we found out that they chose us to be tonight's recipient of the firkin fundraiser. It's such a wonderful idea; we are just thrilled they picked us, and we hope it's a great success," says Shannon Freed with the Roice Hurst Humane Society.

Past charities for the fundraiser include the Salvation Army and the House. In April, the brewery will help raise money for the Center for Independence, and in May they will give to the March of Dimes.

Each event raises between $200 and $500.
