Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – Thursday marks the kick off to the two-day Club 20 leadership conference.

This is the second annual leadership conference for Club 20, which is comprised of individuals and businesses in Western Colorado.

The conference is to help leaders in the community have a stronger voice and become better leaders who will be able to stand up for the Western Slope.

"Republican, Democrat, doesn't really make a difference if we can have the facts on the table and work with the leaders from the Front Range. We can help establish policy, public policy for the state that is taking our position into account,” says Steve Reynolds, chairman for Club 20.

The conference continues on Friday starting at 8 a.m. at the Double Tree on Horizon Blvd.

It is open to the public, but there is an admission fee.
