Library offers free workforce training classes

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Accessing higher education is as easy as turning on your computer.

The Mesa County Libraries offer more than 500 online courses through the Universal Class program. Courses range from accounting to performing arts. They're open to anyone, available from any computer and are meant to be taken and a pace comfortable to the person taking it.

Although they are free, the courses do require that you have a valid library card.

Employees wishing to enter the workforce will find helpful courses in office skills and computers. Also, employers can use Universal Class as an opportunity for free employee training.
