Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – At Wednesday's Grand Junction City Council meeting, phase two of the Lincoln Park renovation was approved. Officials say that Lincoln Park is one of the most used parks in the city and it's time for an up-grade.
The renovation will include a new playground, accessible for those with disabilities, additional trees, new restrooms, and traffic improvements. A crosswalk will be added along 12th Street making it safer to get to the park for events such as the Rockies games.
In addition the park will get new tennis courts and more parking.
