GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Leitner Poma designed, manufactured, and assembled the 28 cabins on this 550 foot tall wheel. Each cabin holds 40 people, has eight flat screen televisions and three air conditioning units.
The wheel is now open to the public after three years of planning and building.
The price tag on the entire project was $450,000,000.
Before they signed the deal for the project, Leitner Poma was considering laying people off, but the wheel allowed them to keep their employees and also hire almost a dozen new ones.
This isn't the first time the Grand Junction company has added to a Ferris wheel as they also created cabins for the London Eye.
