MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) Starting this week pink will be the new red for Mesa County Fire Departments and it's all for a good cause.

The pink duty shirts, soon to be sported by local firefighters, are a part of their efforts to raise money for charity during Pink October.

The pink shirts are a way to bring awareness and support to those battling cancer. All of the Mesa County Fire Departments will be selling the tees to the community for $20. The proceeds from the sales will support local families dealing with cancer.
