MONTROSE, Colo (KKCO) Oak Grove Elementary School in Montrose is participating in an effort to send gifts to deployed military personnel for Christmas, and is asking for donations of small, inexpensive items and/or money for postage. The gifts will remind soldiers that we think of them and thank them for their service. Soldiers have expressed their gratitude for small items, cards, and letters that remind them of home. Items will be collected in individual classrooms, packaged in pre-paid boxes, and mailed by November 20th so the soldiers will have them by late December.
Collection dates: October 15 – November 9
If you have any ideas, questions, or concerns, or if you would like to help with the collection and packaging, please call Autum Moore at 970-765-6836, or email email@example.com.
Companies/individuals can purchase postage from the boxes to be sent to the soldiers. Items below can also be donated from companies and a special letter will be sent to the soldiers from the companies who have supported this project. These boxes will then be filled with donations.
