Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - Destinee Reed is a talented young lady from the valley.

She took second place out of thousands in the most recent Colorado’s Got Talent, which was held in Colorado Springs on Jan. 5. She now gets an automatic tryout and "front of the line pass," if she wants it, with America’s Got Talent.

Destinee sings, plays the guitar, bass guitar and piano. She tried out for the competition here in Grand Junction and made it to the semi-finals in Colorado Springs.

In the finals, the field was reduced, and Destinee took second place.

She has competed in talent contests before, but nothing like Colorado’s Got Talent. However Destinee is used to the big stage as she has performed in the Garden Room at the MGM Grand in Los Vegas.

She performs in Grand Junction on the Jan. 16 at the Back Porch.
