GRAND JUNCTION, CO (KKCO)_Partly cloudy start to the day, but we won't see as much rain as we did yesterday...at least till later tonight.
Clouds will be on the increase after noon with only a slight chance of thunderstorms and showers this afternoon, but later tonight the rain arrives around midnight.
Anyone traveling to the high country will want to be prepared for winter driving conditions as we could see a foot of snow in about all of our mountain areas.
Winter Storm Warnings and Watches are in effect. Hunters and hikers should be prepared for strong winds as well as snowfall and temperatures in the daytime in the 30's and in the teens at night.
A cold front passes Thursday afternoon that will lower snow levels to mountain bases around 6000 feet.
Friday things finally start to clear out but temperatures will remain cool and in the 60's.
Saturday and Sunday we'll finally see the sun again and temperatures will start to rebound and be in the 70's by Monday. Have a great day and enjoy the break before the rain starts tonight!
