Man arrested for carrying $50,000 worth of meth

MACK, Colo. (KKCO) - A man is arrested and booked into jail after authorities find more than two pounds of meth in his trailer.

Carlos Perez-Romero was taken to the Mesa County Jail on Tuesday.

Mesa County Sheriff's deputies originally pulled him over on I-70 near the Mack exit for weaving between lanes. After some questioning, authorities used a K-9 to sniff the horse trailer he was pulling. During that search, the K-9 found the drug packages, that were later positively tested for meth.

The two pounds has an approximate street value of $50,000.

Perez-Romero is facing charges including the unlawful distribution, sale or possession of a drug.
