GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) -- A Lakewood man has been convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison in the death of his roommate.

A jury found Ryan Boyd Hicks guilty on Friday and the judge handed down the sentence shortly after the verdict.

Hicks was charged with killing 50-year-old David Noreen (nor-EEN'), whose body was found in June in Clear Creek County west of Lakewood. He had been reported missing in May.

Hicks was arrested in Arizona, where he was already being held on unrelated charges.
