Man dies in Grand Mesa snowmobile accident
DELTA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) -- An Illinois man is dead after a snowmobiling accident on the Grand Mesa Monday morning.
Delta County Sheriff Fred McKee says the 31 year old died of injuries he sustained in a one-machine accident while out with a group of people. It happened in a remote part of Delta County near the Electric Mountain Lodge.
Mckee says the area is only reachable by snowmobile or helicopter this time of year.
The victim was air-lifted to a Delta hospital. His identity will not been released until his family has been notified.
