COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- A 22-year-old Colorado Springs man suspected of shooting two people to death in August has been arrested in Texas.
The Gazette reports prosecutors are making arrangements for the extradition of Gary Glen Vigil, who turned himself in to authorities in El Paso. He was believed to be hiding in Mexico after gunning down a man and his pregnant girlfriend in a Colorado Springs alley Aug. 10.
The victims, Camille Root and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Daniel Casteneda, were found shot to death after they were ambushed while leaving a bar. Root is believed to be Vigil's ex-girlfriend.
